Belarus Seeks Stronger Relations With China

Belarus is in hopes to have a more efficient relationship with China. A meeting with Chinese central and mass media gave the Belarus president, Alexander Lukashenko, on May 4th, gave the president hope for a stronger relationship between the two countries”). The two are furthering to better their economic goals for their respective land. The two countries are tied due to their development of the Belarus/China Industrial Park. The industrial park called Great Stone has helped the economic development of both countries. It has also helped to attract greater technologies for both countries and for Belarus, they hope to achieve more Chinese investors for their country (“Belarus Hopes for Even More Efficiency in Relations with China”).

Belarus and China are both mutual partners in a gain to develop their economic progress in their own respective countries. According to a website called Xinhuanet, Belarus is the closest European country that China has. They both have materials and economic investments that the countries mutually desire such as the industrial park mentioned earlier and international cooperation with other countries. The leaders have developed a longstanding partnership that will help them in their forthcoming ventures for the economics of their countries. The top Belarusian leader said that he intends to take part in the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which will be held in Beijing in mid-May, where he is expected to meet with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and visit the country” (“Belarus President Expects More Fruits from Relations with China”).
